PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking method capable of cooking crispy fried food-like food scarcely attaching to aluminum foil, etc., almost free from tackiness and having good texture in a method for cooking fried food-like food which is similar to deep fried food fried with oil or fry by heating with oven toaster, etc. ;SOLUTION: In this method for cooking fried food-like food by beating a material to be cooked, dipping the materials in egg, covering the material with coat powder for fried food, sprinkling liquid-like oil thereto and heating the treated material in a heating cooker, a coat powder for fried foods obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. bread crumb with 10-50 pts.wt. starch or grain flour and 20-100 pts.wt. water soluble component and compounding 100 pts.wt. of the compounded material with 0-14 pts.wt. edible oil and fat is used as the coat powder for fried foods.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
