PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth insertion and pull-out of a cable, attached to a robot, by using an O-ring with a watertight state maintained when a robot is fed in and recovered from a pipe. ;SOLUTION: This insertion recovery machine comprises a base plate 8 having a through-hole 7 through which the cable 4 of a pipe robot is inserted; a short pipe 9 joined in a watertight state with the end face 8A of the substrate 8 and provided on the other surface side of the base plate 8 with a pipe coupling 9A; and a support bed 10 supported on the surface side of the base plate 8. An O-ring 11 to seal the inner surface of the through-hole 7 while allowing axial slide of the cable 4 is arranged on the insertion hole 7 of the base plate 8. Two friction rolls 12, making a pair, to feed a cable in the direction of a main pipe by nipping and rotating the cable 4 are rotatably supported in the short pipe 9 from the outside of the short pipe 9. Two friction rolls 13, making a pair, to feed the cable 4 in a direction, in which the cable is pulled out from the main pipe, through a nip and rotation of the cable 4 is rotatably supported on the support bed 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
