PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the subject rooting promotion enabling an arboreous plant to be efficiently rooted in its cuttage growth. SOLUTION: In this method, the green, dormant or mature branches of an arboreous plant are served as material branches. When these branches are to be subjected to scion regulation by a conventional means, the surface skin 4 near the cut surface of the basal portion 3 of each of these branches is peeled off and then put to cuttage; thereby enabling the root 8 to be developed efficiently.
