PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooting promotion process enabling easy root taking of rose, etc., resulting in good growth and utilizable as a year-round operation by planting a cutting in addition to grafting and budding constituting the mainstream of conventional breeding procedures. SOLUTION: The rooting promotion liquid is produced by quickly cooling boiling water to the temperature of iced water and dissolving tannic acid in the cold water to nearly saturated state. A cut edge of a cutting 1 of rose is immersed in the rooting promotion liquid for a prescribed period and thrust into a propagation bed.
