PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain robustness against noise and superior detection of unsteady on-line and to improve the resolution of a spectrum analysis of nonsteady data by sequentially finding a high-order correlation function from a momentary high-order correlation function by a non-homogeneous high-order exponent smoothing method. SOLUTION: For the momentary high-order correlation function (expression I), the sequential high-order correlation function (expression III) which applies the non-homogeneous high-order exponent smoothing method (expresson II) adaptively is provided. When a circuit is actualized by a conventional method, an element part of the non-homogeneous high-order exponent smoothing method requires delay elements of data length, but in this case, five elements are needed at most to easily generate the circuit. Further, they can be made parallel, so calculation performed by hardware becomes fast and more practical. It is difficult for the conventional method to very the data length, but this method provides flexible elements which are adaptive according to the state of noise and the extent of unsteady at the time of use enabled by varying smoothing parameters.
