PRODUCTION OF ESSENCE POWDER OF GRIFOLA FRONDOSA S.F. GRAY AND PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION CONTAINING ESSENCE POWDER OF GRIFOLA FRONDOSA S.F. GRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject low hygroscopic and readily handleable and preservable extracted essence powder by adding an alcohol to an extract solution of Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray, allowing the resultant solution to stand, then removing suspended or sticking substances, subsequently removing the alcohol and spray-drying the prepared solution. SOLUTION: Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray is extracted with water or hot water and an alcohol is added to the resultant extract solution. The prepared solution is allowed to stand and substances suspended to the liquid surface or in the liquid or sticking to the wall surface of a container are removed. The alcohol is subsequently removed and the resultant solution is spray-dried to afford an essence powder of the Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray. The alcohol used is preferably added so as to provide 20-70 vol./vol.% final concentration thereof. The solution is preferably regulated so as to afford 20-65% Brix value after removing the alcohol therefrom. The obtained extracted essence powder of the Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray has the following properties: appearance: a powder of brown color tone; solubility: soluble in water and alkaline solutions; color reaction: positive to the anthrone reaction and nynhydrin reaction; liquidity of the aqueous solution: neutral to weakly acidic or the like.
