PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing block of good carrying properties for preventing the adhesion of ink on the ends of a light-sensitive lithographic printing block, also protect a printing paper from fouls and also provide an end processing device and an end processing method optimum for manufacturing such a printing block. ;SOLUTION: An end processing device is provided with a lower roller (a supporting means) 41 having a cylinder face (a supporting section) 42 for supporting the back of a printing block 10 and a channel 43 formed on the position corresponding to the end of the printing block 10, and a pressing means (an upper roller 3, a spring and the like) pressing a conical face (an inclined face) 32 inclined in the direction closer to the lower roller 41 as being closer to the printing block 10 on an end of the surface of the printing block 10, and the end of the printing block 10 is pressurized from the surface side of the printing block 10 and crushed, and the end on the back side of the printing block 10 is formed into a protrusion following the crushing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
