PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a part necessary for design of a press metallic mold and its design element by only incorporating each unit part into a basic structure of the press metallic mold, by forming a unit part which is made by combining a standard part and a working form element necessary for incorporating the standard part into the press metallic mold and storing the unit part in CAD. ;SOLUTION: For instance, standard pats of bush 13, ball retainer 14, die set guide post 15, spring 16, washer 17 and tie bolt 18 are unitized as a die set guide post set, and an upper mold part 13 of a press metallic mold and lower mold parts 14-18 are integrated and unitized as a unit part of die set guide post set. A combination of these parts and a working form element which is necessary for the fitting of them are stored in CAD as to a plurality of sizes (diameters). A most suitable press metallic mold is read out from these and is incorporated into a design drawing of a basic structure of the press metallic mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
