SERVER DEVICE FOR COMPETITION GAME USING NETWORK AND MEDIUM FOR RECORDING COMPETITION GAME PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue a game without the loss of interest of other members even in the case of a temporary absence of one of them concerning a server device for a competition game using a network. ;SOLUTION: Four independent computer terminals (A) 12a-(D) 12d perform entry through a network 11 to a center computer 13 of a server device so that a mah-jongg game stored in a service program memory 15 is started. In the state of repeating games such as tile delivery, tile disposal, 'pon', 'chin' and 'kan' for each of respective terminals A-D according to an order initially set at random, a prescribed signal with an interruption is received from the terminal A. When a temporary absence flag corresponding to the terminal A is set at the center computer 13 in this case, the terminal A is disconnected and while keeping the style of 'tsumo' interruption as it is, the delivery of tiles is processed as 'tile disposal' and reported to the other terminals B-D.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
