PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mirror-finished dual-phase stainless steel sheet having high surface hardness and practically free from surface flaw. ;SOLUTION: The mirror-finished dual phase stainless steel sheet has a composition consisting off, by mass, 0.01-0.15% C, 10.0-20.0% Cr, 0.3-5.0%. in total, of one or ≥2 elements among Ni, Mn, and Cu, and the balance essentially Fe and also has a mixed structure of ferrite and martensite. Further, hardness is ≥HV330 and specular gloss satisfies Gs(20°)=1200 to 1300 in the steel sheet. This steel sheet can be produced by subjecting, in a continuous annealing furnace, a cold rolled steel strip to finish heat treatment consisting of heating up to 950-1100°C in the dual-phase region of ferrite and austenite and cooling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
