PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference atmospheric pressure calibrating device and method of a barometric altimeter, capable of more reliable reference atmospheric pressure calibration by reducing indefinite elements in the transmission and reception of atmospheric pressure data, and a recording medium recording the method. ;SOLUTION: At stages prior to flight, information about a pressure pattern in a range including the flight route of an aircraft is formed into a database, which is stored in a pressure pattern database part 2. Aircraft position data are periodically obtained by a position data calculating part 1, and air pressure data corresponding to the position data are read from the pressure pattern database 2, so that a reference atmospheric pressure calculating part 3 for a barometric altimeter calibrates the barometric altimeter 4 according to the atmospheric pressure data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
