PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test piece holding jig which enables accurately measuring of a friction coefficient and the degree of wear even when waviness, inclination or the like exists on a sliding surface of a test piece. ;SOLUTION: This jig 1 is constituted of a body part 2 mounted on a pressurization shaft 31, a receiving part 10 which is mounted freely oscillatably on the body part 2 through a spherical body 13 and a pressing part 24 to hold the receiving part 10 freely oscillating. A test piece 19 is mounted on the surface opposite to the body part 2 of the receiving part 10. When waviness, inclination or the like exists on the sliding surface 22 of the test piece 19, the test piece 19 is oscillated through the receiving part 10 and the spherical body 13 and the waviness, inclination or the like is absorbed thereby assuring a uniform contact.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
