PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial joint friction and wear testing machine which is easy to control and has excellent durability.SOLUTION: An artificial joint friction and wear testing machine 10 comprises: a pressurization mechanism Ka for pressing any one of a first piece 24 and second piece 26 in a Z-axis direction so that the first piece 24 and second piece 26 are in contact with each other with predetermined pressure; a first angular displacement mechanism Kb having the degree of freedom of one rotation for making the first piece 24 and second piece 26 be relatively angularly displaced around a Z-axis; a linear displacement mechanism Kc having the degree of freedom of one linear line for making the first piece 24 and second piece 26 be relatively linearly displaced in a Y-axis direction; and a second angular displacement mechanism Kd having the degree of freedom of one rotation for making the first piece 24 and second piece 26 be relatively angularly displaced around an X-axis.
