PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a seed and a seedling of a cineraria plant by which the seed and seedling of uniform genetic character such as the flower color can efficiently be mass-produced. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a seed and a seedling of a cineraria plant is to culture a tissue fragment of the cineraria plant in a solid culture medium containing naphthaleneacetic acid which is auxins and cytokinins, form a callus, transplant the resultant callus to a culture medium containing no phytohormone or containing naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and the cytokinins, culture the callus under irradiation with light, differentiate an adventitious bud, then culture the resultant adventitious bud in a solid culture medium containing the NAA, root the callus and provide a plantlet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
