PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily maintain up-to-the-date publication of information and to stably supply the information at low cost by adding or overwriting contents for either addition, updating, or correction on the 1st contents. SOLUTION: When an author performs updating, addition, correction, etc., as to contents which are store on a portable medium 80 and distributed, data of the update, addition, correction, etc., are sent to a publication server and stored in a content data base, and they are edited and stored in the content data base. Then when a request to access to the latest data regarding the contents is made on an individual user terminal 20 during access to the contents on the portable medium 80, the publication server having received this request reads supplementary information 82b corresponding to the revision, enlargement, correction, addition, etc., of the corresponding contents out of the content data base and sends them to the user terminal 20 as the request source through an information network 60.
