PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gene enabling the gene specific to pistil of a monocotyledonous plant to be utilized and improving the creation of male sterility, the control of the form of the pistil or the fertility potential of a female genital organ by including a specific DNA. ;SOLUTION: This gene includes a DNA comprising a base sequence of base number 61-1131 of formula I, or a DNA capable of hybridizing with the DNA under a mild condition, encoding a protein having same bioactivities as the protein encoded by the DNA and derived from rice. Preferably, a plant cell or a plant cell cultivate is obtained by transforming microorganisms for transforming a plant cell by a vector having a base sequence of formula II or a part thereof, or a base sequence thereof, in which one or plural bases are deleted, substituted or added, and containing a structural gene or a DNA fragment bound so as to act on the structural gene, and allowing the plant cell or the plant cell cultivate to be transformed by the microorganisms.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
