PURPOSE: To enhance the certainly of binding operation in a bag binder by applying a binding jig composed of a resin plate to the opening part of a bag made of a resin such as polyethylene to tie the opening part. ;CONSTITUTION: The binding jig twisting device of a bag binder is constituted of the cylindrical forming jig 49 fixed to a sub-frame 47 and a twisting arm 46 traversing the front opening part of the forming jig 49. The twisting arm 46 is attached to one side surface of a gear 45 and the axis of the forming jig 49 coincides with the center of rotation of the twisting arm 46. A rib 51 is provided to the inner peripheral surface of the forming jig 49. The binding jig 1 sent by a feed mechanism is externally fitted to the binding region of a bag and twisted by the twisting arm 46 to allow both leg parts 2 to cross and hook parts are mutually engaged to bind the bag.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
