PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a steering handle, an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal by realizing an operational element device favorable for human engineering and having reliability to control the longitudinal motion and the traverse motion of a vehicle. ;SOLUTION: An operational element device is provided with an operational element 1 useful for control of the longitudinal motion and the traverse motion of an automobile. This operational element device includes the arched operating element 1, the operational element 1 is pivotally attached in the lower range of a driver's seat 10 to control the traverse motion so as to be turned around a traverse control axis 3 having the right angle in relation to the vehicle traverse direction and also so as to be moved in the vehicle longitudinal direction for the control of the longitudinal motion of a vehicle, and the operational element extends upward from the lower range of the driver's seat 10 through the side of a seat cushion 11 and finished on end side handles 2a, 2b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
