PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a call tone without touching the selective radio call receiver. ;SOLUTION: A connector 24 of a reception section 20 of the remote call tone stop device 1 is plugged into a connector 36 of the selective radio call receiver 3 to connect both devices. Upon the receipt of its own call signal by a radio section 32 of the selective radio call receiver 3, a control section 33 energizes a buzzer 34, from which a call tone is outputted. When a carrying person depresses a switch 11 of a call section 10 of the remote call tone stop device 1, a call tone stop signal in a very weak radio wave is sent and it is received by the reception section 20, in which the signal is converted into a proper signal form and it is sent to the control section 33 of the selective radio call receiver 3. Upon the receipt of the call tone stop signal, the buzzer signal of the buzzer 34 (call tone) is stopped. Furthermore, when the selective radio call receiver 3 is directly operated, since a switch 35 is used to stop the call tone, the remote call tone stop device 1 is removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
