PURPOSE:To facilitate the partial tilling and improve the transplantation accuracy of seedling and the work efficiency by partially tilling a field between stump rows and transplanting seedlings on the tilled earth. CONSTITUTION:A machine body is driven along a row of stumps 13 of the preceding crop. If the moving direction of the machine body is deviated from the direction of the stump row 13, either one of sensor bars 22, 22' is brought into contact with the stump 13 and the sensor is actuated to transmit a signal to a controller. A steering part is energized according to the signal to turn the moving direction of the machine body to the side opposite to the past direction until the sensor bar 22 or 22' is inactivated, when the mode of the machine body is returned to the straight-moving mode. The working part B is lowered and driven by an operation lever 11 and the field between stumps 13 and 13 is partially tilled in stripes with tilling disks 9, 9.... Seedlings 12 are transplanted on the tilled earth with transplantation members 5, 5.... The apparatus enables the sure transplantation of seedling on the tilled earth avoiding the stumps to improve the transplantation accuracy of seedlings and the working efficiency.
