RUBBER COMPOSITIONS - FOR MAKING TYRES - CONTAINING SILICA BASED REINFORCEMENT ADDITIVE HAVE BEING MADE REACTIVE, WICH CONTAINS - ONE POLYORGANOSILOXANE AND ONE ORGANOSILOXANE

A new rubber composition for the manufacture of pneumatic tubes with improved hysteresis properties, is based on an elastomer and silica (as a reinforcement filler), and contains a reinforcement additive, which is a mixture and/or reaction product (in situ) of a functionalised polysiloxane with at least one siloxy motif per mole which can link chemically and/or physically with the OH sites on the surface of the silica particles, and a functionalised organosilane comprising (per mole) at least one functional group linking chemically and/or physically with the polyorganosiloxane and/or the OH sites of the silica and at least one other group linking chemically and/or physically to the polymer(s) chains. Also claimed is the preparation, which allows for retarding of premature vulcanisation (scorch), and improves hysteresis properties, and the rubber tyres and associated semi-finished products produced by the process.
