The present invention relates to the use of human CB2 receptor specific agonist compounds for the preparation of immunomodulatory drugs. The compounds are such inducers which are substituted in position 1, 3 or 4 with an acyl moiety (-COR3 of the general formula), of which R8 is mono-or 4-fold acidic in alkyl or alkoxy moiety; or a polycyclic ring selected from naphth-1-yl, naphth-2-yl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphth-1-yl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphth-5 -yl-, anthryl-, benzofuryl-, benzene-2-yl-, benzo-thien-3-yl, 2-, 3-, 4- or 8-quinolinyl, which is unsubstituted or mono- or di-alkyl, alkoxy they are titrated with alkyl thio, halogen, cyano, hydroxy, trifluoromethyl or imidazol-1-yl.
