Novel oligomeric compounds of the formula (I) in which L is a group of the formula (1) or (2) the oxygen in group L in each case being bonded to the phosphorus in the recurrent structural unit and the radical R5 or the carbon in the 4-position of the piperidinyl ring in group L being in each case bonded to the oxygen in the recurrent structural unit; are described as stabilisers for organic materials against oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation.
