Rollable thermal cover for supermarket food chillers storing frozen food

The thermal cover (12) is used to close the open tops of food storage chillers (11) when the supermarket is closed. The cover (12) has a base material (13) of plastic sheets enclosing air bubbles and has reinforcing bars (16A- D) which extend crosswise, are slightly wider than the chiller unit, and are attached to the cover by tapes of textile material. The sides and edges of the cover have an edge tape (18) which protects the edges of the cover against tearing during rolling in an out. During the day, the rolled covers are stored upright which allows condensed water to drain and dries the covers ready for the next use. The reinforcing bars are plastic conduit as used in electrical installations.
