A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COLOR OR AMARGURA BEER OR BOTH BY ILLUMINATION OF BEER WITH LIGHT DEFAULT wavelength, typically 400 (plus or minus) 30 NM TO CAUSE ISO- {AL} acids in beer FOR FLUORESCENT. Fluorescence is detected over a range of wavelengths, typically 420 to 673 nm using a fluorescence spectrophotometer. Bitterness COLOR AND BEER OR BOTH is determined by comparing an output signal from fluorescence spectrophotometer output signals STORED FOR BEERS OF COLOR AND KNOWN AMARGURA.
