For the production of electrochemical lithium generators with solid polymer electrolyte in the form of thin films, multi-layer assemblies are formed from bi-layer solid polymer electrolyte / composite positive electrode sub-assemblies which are subsequently associated to the other constituent layers of the generator such that the multi-layer assembly obtained comprises a layer of a metal of low ductility. From multi-layer assemblies, generators can be formed by using stacking, winding or folding techniques.
