POOL OF YEAST OF THE GENUS CANDIDA MALTOSA USED FOR THE BIODEGRADATION OF PETROLEUM PRODUCT POLLUTANTS, BIOLOGICAL PREPARATION OBTAINED USING THIS POOL AND METHODS FOR ITS PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

The present invention pertains to the field of bio-technologies and to theprotection of the environment, and relates to the purification of water, soiland other media which have been contaminated by petroleum products. Thepurification method of the present invention uses a biological preparationthat contains a pool of yeast of the Candida maltosa genus from the strainsVKPM Y-2256 and Y-2257. These strains can be present in the pool in anyproportion but preferably in a proportion of 1:1. The biological preparationmay be used for removing pollution caused by a large variety of hydrocarbonscontained in crude oil and petroleum products such as gas-oil, oils, etc. Thepreparation may be used to remove contaminants at temperatures up to +41 ~C,in conditions where the pH varies between 3.0 and 9.0 as well as in salt-containing ecosystems. The method for producing this biological preparationcomprises simultaneously cultivating the above-mentioned yeast strains in aliquid nutrient medium and further separating and removing the biomass thusgrown. The biomass can also be dried in order to obtain a powderedpreparation. In order to clean the different media contaminated by petroleumproducts, this method comprises applying an aqueous suspension of saidpreparation with a nitrogen-phosphate additive.
