The unit has a bolt-shaped centering section (6) and a clamping section (42,43). They are operated by pressure, alternately in both directions, for clamping and centering or release, in succession. The clamping section is mounted in and at the centering section. The centering section has a pressure operated movement cylinder (1) with a piston body (12). The clamping section has a clamping cylinder (2) with a clamping piston (25). The movement cylinder and clamping cylinder are coaxial within each other.
