The present invention relates to a novel thermophilic microorganism having heat-resistant stereospecific D-aminopeptidase activity and heat-resistant stereospecific D-aminopeptidase produced therefrom. The microbial strain of the present inventionBacillusGenus BCS-1 (Bacillussp. BCS-1) has a heat-resistant, stereospecific D-aminopeptidase (DAP) activity capable of stably carrying out an enzymatic reaction even at a high temperature. DAP produced by this thermophilic microorganism uses a reverse reaction D-amino acid-containing peptides.
