A method of producing a radionuclide generator that produces Tc-99m or Re-188. There is provided a clear solution containing a metallic cation and an anion comprising W-188 or Mo-99. Metallic cations are present in solution as dissolved complexes of metallic cations and complexing agents and / or anions are present in solution as dissolved complexes of anions and complexing agents.
