FIELD: nuclear power engineering, analysis of reliability of units of heat mechanical equipment. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with proposed method thickness of walls of pressure vessel, pressure, temperature and flow rate in it are measured, indices of lifespan are determined and decision on replacement, repair or prolongation of service life of pressure vessel is made. EFFECT: improved authenticity of determination of residual life of heat mechanical equipment of nuclear power plants.
