Preparation of homogeneous, stable, water-free formulation(s)

Preparation of homogeneous, water-free formulations containing monoglycerides and polar, or non-polar substances comprises: (a) dissolving the polar/non-polar substances in a water-free solvent; (b) mixing the solution obtained with a monoglyceride or monoglyceride mixture, which is optionally dissolved in a polar or non-polar solvent, so that the mole ratio of monoglyceride : polar/non-polar substance is 1 : 0.001 to 1:1; (c) optionally mixing (b) with a hydrophilic water-free formulating agent based on a polyol and/or polyether, in a mole ratio of 1: 0.01 - 1:1; and (d) Mixing (c) with a 2-4 C hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon mixture, which acts as an extraction agent, and passing through a separation column at 3-50 MPa and 20 - 150 deg C, so that the monoglyceride, polar/non-polar substance, and hydrophilic formulation agent come off as a melt-form sump phase, and the solvent comes off at the head.
