Stable liquid aqueous concentrate permissible for protecting drinking water pipes from corrosion

Liquid aqueous concentrate, in the form of a homogeneous solution containing silicate and phosphate ions in 1:(2-4), preferably 1:3 ratio, for protecting drinking water pipes of low or unalloyed steel, copper or lead from corrosion, contains = 6 wt.% total phosphate and = 1.5% silica (SiO2). An Independent claim is also included for a method of treating drinking water pipes with the concentrate.
