Monitoring and control device for excimer laser treatment of eyes

A small part of the working laser beam is fed via a beam splitter to a CCD sensor (7) and any change in intensity distribution during operation. The sensor is connected to a laptop PC. The intensity is compared with a reference and the beam is controlled for optimum performance during operation.
