The instable braking detection method detects the rotation characteristics of the vehicle wheels (301a-d) on the left and right sides of the vehicle during cornering of the vehicle, with comparison and/or evaluation of the detected rotation characteristics, for detection of critical braking and reduction of the braking pressure for the wheels on the inside of the curve. A device for detecting instable braking of a vehicle traveling around a bend is claimed independently.
