The bridge has a bridge plate on the ramp-side end, which can turn on a horizontal axis, with an extension on the free end for laying on a loading or unloading platform. The plate has one or two sectors (10), on one or both sides, supported on an abutment (12). These sectors and the middle part (9) are connected to each other so that they can turn to a limited extent relative to each other. The sectors can only turn down from the horizontal position of the middle part sufficiently for then to pass by the abutment when the bridge plate turns.
