A fused circuit supplies several parallelled lamps (esp. stop-lights) from the outgoing side (A) of a circuit switch. The voltage applied to each lamp charges the capacitor of a detector unit and forms the input to its operational amplifier. An LED indicator in each detector, lit via the amplifier during braking, remains lit afterwards only if the lamp is open-circuited, a shunt resistor discharging the capacitor slowly, while a diode prevents rapid discharge via other lamps. A general alarm unit with audible and blinking lamp indication, a blown fuse detector and a stabilised supply unit for the electronic circuits complete the equipment.
