PURPOSE: To enable the effective sweeping of seedlings or foreign materials caught on the side of a rear forked part in fork-shaped pawls for gripping rush seedlings. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective apparatus for preventing planting pawls for rush seedlings from clogging therewith is constructed by installing a sweeping piece 4 adjacent to the lower part of fork-shaped pawls 1 so as to reciprocate from the lower part of a rear forked part (1a) in the fork-shaped pawls 1 to the front thereof along the lower part of the fork-shaped pawls 1 and simultaneously enabling the free reciprocation of the sweeping piece 4 by the driving side of the planting pawls in the planting pawls for the rush seedlings constructed by providing the U-shaped pushing piece 2 under the fork-shaped pawls 1 for gripping the seedlings so as to enable the free forward and rearward movement with a pushing rod 3.
