PURPOSE: To extract a low-molecular propolis exhibiting an excellent transparency, having a fragrance excellent in palatability and absorabability by allowing a hydrophilic organic solvent containing dissolved crude propolis to flow into an alternating electric field, applying an electrostatic induction treatment thereto and subsequently removing the solvent. ;CONSTITUTION: The primary winding 3 of the primary circuit of a shell-form circular wound-type transformer 1 including an iron core 2 is connected to an alternating power supply and one end of the secondary winding 4 is insulated. The other end thereof is connected to a stainless electrode 7 attached in a fluid treatment tank 6 made of an insulating material. Further, the tank 6 is designed so as to be insulated from an earth by an insulating material such as an insulator and a hydrophilic organic solvent containing dissolved crude propolis is allowed to flow into an alternating electric field composed of 3000 to 4500V (field strength is 0.3 to 12kV/m) voltage and 0.5 to 1.5μA electric current respectively generated in the electrode in the tank 6. An electrostatic induction treatment is applied to this solvent and the solvent is subsequently removed, thus extracting the objective propolis gel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
