Crustacean aquaculture systems and methods

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular filtration type crustacean cultivation system and method capable of stably cultivating crustacean in high efficiency. SOLUTION: This crustacean cultivating system is equipped with a breeding tank 51, a filter tank 52 which removes foreign matters from the breeding water, and a circulating mean which circulates water for cultivation between the breeding tank 51 and the filtration tank 52, and includes a water temperature controlling means to maintain the temperature of the breeding tank at 23-30 deg.C, and oxygen content controlling mean to keep the dissolved oxygen content in the breeding tank no nearly saturation, and pH controlling means to adjust the pH of the breeding tank to a most suitable value and a water flow controlling means to adjust the water flow rate in about 10-20 cm/sec a speed free from migration of sand of the sand bed of the breeding tank.
