PROTECTIVE COVER FOR BUSINESS MACHINE HAVING ANTISTATIC OR HEAT SHIELDING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance antistatic and heat shielding function through metal by depositing a highly conductive metal on the basic material of a cover through sputtering thereby imparting conductivity. ;SOLUTION: Conductivity is imparted by the protective cover of a business machine where a highly conductive metal 2 is deposited on one side of the basic material 1 of the cover through sputtering thus enhancing antistatic and heat shielding function through the metal 2. Static electricity generated from a business machine, e.g. a personal computer, is discharged through the basic material 1 of the cover and uncomfortable pricking feeling due to static electricity is suppressed upon touching the machine. Since the cover exhibits high antistatic function entirely, dust does not adhere and the cover is not contaminated easily. Furthermore, temperature of the business machine, e.g. a personal computer, is not elevated excessively because the conductive metal 2 on the surface reflects and absorbs light and stabilized operation is sustained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
