PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a cylinder head, reduce the number of generation of mistiming in opening and closing of each intake valve and exhaust valve and improve engine cooling efficiency. ;SOLUTION: In this engine, a radiator is arranged in front of the engine, and an inside cam shaft 19 for driving an intake valve and an outside cam shaft 20 for driving an exhaust valve are provided in each cylinder line, and the cam shaft for driving the intake valve and a crank shaft 8 are connected by a first transmission means wherein power is transmitted by an endless transmission belt 26, and the cam shaft for driving the intake valve and the cam shaft for driving the exhaust valve are connected by a second transmission means wherein power is transmitted by an endless transmission belt 29. The diameter of a cam sprocket pulley 19b for the endless transmission belt of the second transmission means is made smaller than that of a cam sprocket pulley 19a for the endless transmission belt of the first transmission means, and an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe are provided above the inside of a V-engine and outside a V-cylinder block respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
