PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely execute the heading of a short blank without causing any interference between transfer fingers and a punch by hitting the work by the punch after opening the transfer fingers. ;SOLUTION: When a driving lever 4 is positioned at retreating position, a link 7 erects with the energization of a spring 9 to position a working body 8 together with a pushing rod 19 at the position being away from the fitting surface of a die 3 in the axial direction of the die 3 at the side part of the die 3. When the driving lever 4 is advanced and an engaging surface 13 is abutted on a stopper 16, the pushing rod 19 reaches the position coaxial with the die 3, but the distance between the die 3 and the pushing rod 19 in the axial direction is not changed. When the driving lever 4 is further advanced, the further advancing of the working body 8 is obstructed by abutting the engaging surface 13 on the stopper 16. Therefore, the working body 8 is moved so as to approach in the axial direction of the die 3 by inclining the link 7 against the engagization of the spring 9. The blank (a) clamped by the transfer fingers (b) is straightly pushed in the axial direction by the pushing rod 19 and a part thereof is pushed into the die 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
