SOLUTION: A device to offer an index for the specific nature about the characteristics of products manufactured through a stochastic machining processing includes at least one sensor 94, 96, 98 to sense at least one parameter relating to the stochastic machining process, and these sensors emit at least one measuring signal 104, 130, 132 to indicate the processing parameter(s). The system includes a signal processor 140 having a model 280 to show the relation between the parameter(s) and the specific nature of the product manufactured, and a signal indicating the prediction of the specific nature concerning the characteristics of the product is prepared using this model.
