SOLUTION: This pressure-crush protection device is used for a rechargeable battery equipped with an internal electrode plate, an output electrode of a positive (or negative) electrode, a sealing part to block the opening of an armored can acting as an opposite electrode and a spacer 200 provided on the lower surface of the sealing body to insulate the space between the sealing body and the internal electrode plate. It is equipped with a recessed part 211 formed on the spacer 200, a crush plate 250 provided with a conductive part 251 and fitted in the recessed part 211 to form a pressure control compartment in the recessed part 211, a pair of terminals 230, 240 molded in the spacer 200 and electrically connected to the conductive part 251, and a film sheet 260 pasted onto the spacer 200 to seal the pressure control compartment, and the film sheet 260 has translucency.
