PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a file name registered by a client from being changed into file name peculiar to a server in the file registration of a client/server system.;SOLUTION: When a file is registered from the client to a server 2, the registered file name is changed into an unique file name by a unique file name generating part 23, and the registered file name and the unique file name are temporarily stored in a registered file name storage part 25. When there is no same file in a register directory after the unique file name is moved to the register directory, the unique file name is changed into a registered file name in a unique directory and when there is the same file, after the unique file name is moved to the unique directory generated by a unique directory generating part 22, the unique file name is changed into the registered file name.
