METHOD FOR CORRECTING CAST PRODUCT AND PRODUCTION OF CAST PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cast product having high shaping precision with high productivity by easily and sufficiently removing residual stress and strain owing to the residual stress developed in the cast product. SOLUTION: In a method for correcting the strain in the cast product 10 taken out from a forming mold, a process (a) for heating and holding the cast product 10 to and at 200-500 deg.C, a process (b) for correcting the strain by plastically pressing the product 10 with correcting dies 30, 32 while holding the cast product 10 heated in the preceding process (a) at the same temp. as the heating temp. in the preceding process (a) in the range of 100-500 deg.C by using the correcting dies 30, 32 heated on the die surfaces or while lowering the temp. to a temp. lower than the heated temp., and a process (c) for cooling the cast product 10 corrected in the preceding process (b), are included.
