PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly, simply and effectively inspect glass vessels, etc., by moving a plurality of the vessels by a conveyor, holding the vessels when the vessels advance in a non-horizontal direction and disposing an inspection apparatus at a point of a horizontal path where the vessels are at an overturned position. ;SOLUTION: A conveyor 13 set at a frame 3 of an inspecting apparatus 1 moves a plurality of vessels 9 advancing in an array. The conveyor 13 has a horizontal path section 11 above an input and an outlet sections. Bottom parts of the transferred vessels are turned upside at the horizontal path section 11. An inspecting device 15 arranged at an end part of the horizontal path irradiates radioactive rays in parallel to an axis of the vessels 9. Connection sections of curved sections 2, 4 connected to an inlet, an outlet are provided between the horizontal path section 11 and the inlet, outlet for the vessels 9, which extend vertically with changing an advancement direction of the vessels 9 by 180 to a horizontal axis. When the vessels 9 move along the conveyor 13, impurities are sequentially moved to top parts of the vessels turned upside down, and the inspecting device 15 irradiates the vessels 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
