IMMUNOLOGICAL METHOD FOR DETERMINING PROSTATE GLAND SPECIFIC ANTIGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve and simplify an immunological method for detecting a concentration of a free PSA(prostate gland specific antigen), a total PSA and a PSA-serpin complex by adding a nucleophilic reagent containing amine to a sample. ;SOLUTION: A nucleophilic reagent containing amine is added to a sample before a concentration of a total PSA is determined according to an immunological method improved for determining the PSA by incubation of the sample and at least one of antibodies which specifically bonds with a free PS, but does not bond with a complex PSA. This process is preferred to determine the free PSA, total PSA and PSA-serpin complex. The complex of the PSA and serpin, particularly, ACT is stable and resistant to a severe state of a temperature or a pH. The PSA-serpin complex can be cut by adding the nucleophilic reagent containing amine. The obtained PSA is stable, which goes true also in the presence of a blood serum.
