MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN PROSTATE GLAND-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN-ALPHA 1-ANTICHYMOTRYPSIN COMPLEX AND IMMUNOLOGICAL DETECTION OF HUMAN PROSTATE GLAND-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN-ALPHA 1-ANTICHYMOTRYPSIN COMPLEX WITH THE SAME
MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN PROSTATE GLAND-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN-ALPHA 1-ANTICHYMOTRYPSIN COMPLEX AND IMMUNOLOGICAL DETECTION OF HUMAN PROSTATE GLAND-SPECIFIC ANTIGEN-ALPHA 1-ANTICHYMOTRYPSIN COMPLEX WITH THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new antibody specifically reacting with a human prostate gland-specific antigen-α-antichymotrypsin complex but not reacting with a human free prostate gland specific antigen and with human free α1-antichymotrypsin, and useful for detecting prostatic cancer, etc. ;SOLUTION: This new monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with a human prostate gland-specific antigen(PSA)-α1-antichymotrypsin complex but does not react with a human free prostate grand-specific antigen and with human free α1-antichymotrypsin. The complex PSA is increased in a malignant prosthetic cancer patient, but the free PSA is increased in a benign prostatomegaly patient. Thereby, the use of the monoclonal antibody enables to identify the prostatic cancer and prostatomegaly, respectively, consequently enabling the early detection of the prostatic cancer. The antibody is obtained by immunizing a mouse, etc., with the complex type PSA, fusing the splenic cells of the immunized animal with myeloma cells, selectively culturing the fused cells in a HAT culture medium, cloning an antibody-producing hybridoma and subsequently culturing the hybridoma.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
